INTERVIEW SANDRA GARCIA REVISTA DIGITAL LETRAS
Sandra García, Sculptor and Painter, self-taught, was born in Madrid and has lived in the United States, precisely in South Carolina and in New York; Now she lives again in the city where she was born, where she has been dedicating herself to the Sculpture for a year with a very satisfactory result in the final result: her sculptural work is worthy of admiration for its quality in the realization, as well as in the concept of what Represents: the feminine sensuality. Molding mud creates feminine figures in which it seeks to highlight the erotic side, the sensuality through the sinuosity of the forms, taking care of the aesthetics to avoid falling into the vulgar in the grotesque. Sandra says to have fun when she works the mud, when she enamels it, when she empties it, when she puts it in the oven, when her hands (without previous sketch) transform the matter into eroticism, passion, desire, seeking provocation without arriving to insult. As for painting, he says he has always practiced it but professionally since he was twenty years old. In addition to all these virtues, it has more artistic facets: having studied Dramatic Art, being a photographer, or illustrator collaborating in magazines such as Zero or the Voice of Galicia. It is the first time he participates in FAIM; He says he would like to make movies without discarding the theater, but he prefers the first. He has participated in several International Fairs: Salzburg (Austria), Vigo (Spain); He has won the International Comic Contest of Editorial Saure, winner of photography prizes such as Club Marcopolo, winner of the first illustration prize created by the newspaper 20 minutes. A woman who if not already, will undoubtedly be one of the important Artists of the Arts in Spain, and of course in the globalized world in which we live.
